Elara Vornik is a materials scientist and circular-economy consultant specializing in plant-based cleaning tools. With a PhD in Sustainable Polymer Engineering from ETH Zürich and fieldwork developing cellulose-luffa composites in Kerala and Oaxaca, she co-designed the first ASTM-certified home-compostable sponge certified for marine degradation. She advises the EU Green Deal’s Single-Use Plastics Task Force and lectures on biomimetic design at the Copenhagen School of Design & Technology.
